The Mediterranean Travel Festival Awards were launched on 12 June 2010. They are annual tourism awards that celebrate creative holiday packages. Their objective is to recognize achievements in sustainable travel and cultural vacation design. The main prize is a trophy known as the Silver Compass. Tour operators, travel bloggers and families planning a summer trip attend the ceremony.
